Client: People’s Book

I was thrilled to work with the owners of People’s Book, a Takoma Park, MD independent bookstore, on their second anniversary poster.

Thoughtful choices and details are aplenty in this shop, and the illustration needed to reflect those organized delights, as well as the vibrant community that visits the store.

In May 2026, this poster was an AI-AP American Illustration AI45 Chosen Winner.

Above are the original four sketches delivered to the client; the initial pencil sketch after the concept was chosen, and an early digital sketch made in Procreate.
