Lauren is an illustrator and artist in Silver Spring, MD. /she likes stand-up and improv comedy, 90s hip hop + R&B, and ice cream, and books that hit that perfect mix of humor and heart.

Projects types:

Editorial conceptual, portraits, narrative, characters, spots, covers, etc.
Commercial posters, stickers, bookmarks, puzzles, cards, gifts, etc.
Children’s Illustration books, commercial, character design, etc.

I like working with people with character, while creating or observing and translating characters in the wild.

I work with pencil, pen + ink, watercolors, guauche, markers, paper, Procreate, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Why ellegeetee?

My name is Lauren Gertzman, and most of my life, folks would call out the familiar boom of “LG!” to get my attention.
I didn’t change my name when I married, but my husband’s last name fit the rhyme scheme to a “T.”
